How verified price drops work

Why some offers show a verified price drop and others do not, and which numbers come from observations.

A drop needs a baseline this site recorded

Deals2Hunt can show a verified price drop only when it has observed the same offer more than once. The baseline is a median of those observations, or the lowest observed price when that comparison is the one being explained. A seller's crossed-out price is displayed as a retailer-stated list price. It is not promoted to history.

The public score also refuses to scale missing signals back up to 100. If shipping, seller feedback, or history was not returned, those points stay at zero. A high score still does not, by itself, create a verified discount.

Freshness is part of the claim

An offer that has not been seen recently can remain in the database as inactive after cleanup. Inactive and expired offers are not current deals. Product pages without an active, in-stock offer are kept out of the sitemap, and they do not receive Offer structured data.

Sample catalog items are labeled as sample data when live credentials are absent. Those pages are not indexed. They exist so the interface can be reviewed before a provider is connected.

Clicks are not commission

Outbound clicks are counted when a shopper uses a tracked redirect. A click is not a sale. Commission appears in the admin analytics only after someone imports rows from an eBay Partner Network report. The importer rejects a row that omits earnings instead of storing a zero.

Affiliate coverage is the share of active eBay offers that already carry a provider-issued affiliate URL. If affiliate tracking is turned off, coverage is left blank rather than reported as complete.

How to use the price-drops page

Open price drops when you want offers that already cleared the history check. Then open the product and read the 30-day median, the lowest observed price, and the last-seen time. If any of those are missing, the page says so.

Related products on a product page are other items in the same category. They are not automatically the same deal. Use a buying guide when you need a checklist, and use the category page when you want the current list of offers.
